SOURCE Bronchoscopy Substudy Infographic

A look in your lungs could help find new COPD treatments.
SOURCE: SPIROMICS Study of Early COPD Progression
Bronchoscopy Substudy
SOURCE’s goal is to identify factors in the body that may provide clues to understand early-stage COPD.
Some of the most important clues are found with a look at the airways in the lungs. This is called a bronchoscopy.
A bronchoscopy lets us see unique information that is not available otherwise. This could lead to COPD treatment breakthroughs.
The research substudy has two clinic visits:
1. Visit 1 includes safety tests and data collection.
2. Visit 2 includes the bronchoscopy procedure.
Your study coordinator will explain all activities participants can expect during the study visits.
Risks and benefits for participants for this research study will be explained by your study coordinator.
